SurveyMarkup is intentionally focused. These answers explain what it does, what it does not do, and how the current pilot works.

1.What is SurveyMarkup?
SurveyMarkup is review and assistance software for preparing coded map linework, previewing Australian CRS options, exporting CAD/GIS-friendly files, and reading plain-text survey reports.
2.Is SurveyMarkup a cadastral compliance tool?
No. SurveyMarkup does not certify cadastral compliance, legal boundaries, survey accuracy or coordinate correctness.
3.Does SurveyMarkup change my raw survey data?
No. SurveyMarkup is designed as a review and export support layer. Users remain responsible for checking original data and final outputs.
4.Which export formats are supported?
Map Linework supports CSV, DXF, GeoJSON and KML exports.
5.Which report files are supported?
The Report Reader currently supports .rpt and .txt files.
6.Does the Report Reader support PDFs?
The free Report Reader accepts .rpt and .txt files. PDF workflows are handled separately where enabled under account workflows.
7.Does SurveyMarkup support Australian coordinate systems?
SurveyMarkup includes preview support for Australian CRS workflows including GDA2020, GDA94 and MGA zones 49-56. Users must still verify all coordinate outputs before professional use.
8.Where is my data stored?
Reports and PDFs you upload are processed securely under your account. Map workspace data, export history, and preferences may be stored locally in your browser where applicable.
9.Are payments active?
Payments are not self-serve yet. Pilot access is handled manually.
10.Can I use SurveyMarkup for production work?
Use it carefully as an assistance tool only. Professional review remains required before relying on any output.
